APPLIED WELDING TECHNOLOGIES
Sequence of Classes and Content:
  1st Term
O.C.P. -A the student will learn the basic skills of Shielded Metal Arc Welding process, safety in welding, welding in all positions in all 5 welding joints, welding math, finishing skills, measuring skills, and a study of welding machines, electrodes and their uses.
O.C.P. -B advanced Shielded Metal Arc Welding will include studies in Metallurgy, Blueprint Reading, and AWS D 1.1 certification if the student desires.
O.C.P. -C covers Gas Metal Arc Welding using low carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless base metal. Use welding equipment with pulse and pulse on pulse welding technologies and modes.
O.C.P. -D covers welding with the Flux Cored Arc Welding Process on low carbon steel and students can qualitify AWS -D1.1 in this area.
O.C.P. -E covers all aspects of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding using mild steel, aluminum and stainless materials including pulse welding technologies.
O.C.P. -F to complete students training, pipe welding, using both the SMAW and GTAW processes are mastered. The student will weld on 4in., 6in. and 8in. pipe grade A-56 materials. Students can certify in 6G position at this point under AWS -D 1.1 structural code.
